Wow....This week is talking about Anticipation and Squash and Stretch. I feel those are very important principle for animation. Really gives the ball life after I add Squash and Stretch on it. I really have fun in this time.

Week assignment..."Heavy and Light Balls". It's pretty the same principle of animation as last week assignment. This time I have really good video references for both light and heavy balls. The final animation really give me the sense of "Weight" difference between these 2 balls.

This week's assignment is animate a simple bouncing ball and excitiment pose for Stu. I feel it's not that easy to animate the bouncing ball. Keep change the animation for a weeks..Geee....I never think the bouncing ball is that hard when I was in VFS. Even Bouncing ball needs a good plan and reference.

This week's assignments are quick sketch the poses in the public space and pick up one pose make it in maya.

It looks like he is trying to explian something to someone in the park. Does it works? ^^"
I keep twick the pose for few days and take a picture myself doing the same pose for the reference. I feel like back to the VFS time, learning everything from the basic. However, the foundation is always most important. ^^y

My first Live Q&A start at 11pm last night. It's good to meet everyone in my class on the net. Most of them already have great working experience in 2D and 3D industry. I am sure that I can learn from them too. It's good to meet you all...

First day at AnimationMentor

Starting AM!! YEAH!! My first class finally start on January 8th 2007 . I feel so exciting about this, and I can't wait for to learn more from mentors, classmates and all the other students. "Character Animation"....That is the one what I always wanna focus on. Fianlly, I go through all the movie clips, download the tools, exploring the animationmentor website and send out the greeting message to everyone in my class today.
